In the 1960s Ka‘anapali Beach became Maui’s first planned resort destination. Today, hotels like the Hyatt Regency and the Westin Maui line that 3-mile stretch of beach and provide access to art collections worth millions. Ka‘anapali once marked the northern edge of art exploration. Now a sprinkling of galleries and studios extends around the West Maui Mountains, past Kapalua Resort, all the way to Kahakuloa.
